A question.

Another quick point about the Assange saga. There is a point, surely, at which the theories claiming his motives in avoiding the rape charges are solely selfish and callous, because he wishes to avoid jail time for a crime he is guilty of, and in reality he knows there is no chance he would ever be extradited to America – there must be a point at which that theory becomes wholly implausible. And that point arrives when the disadvantages of a life spent pent-up in a box-room in Knightsbridge for the foreseeable future, with an arrest warrant awaiting you at your front door, start to drastically outweigh the personal costs of limited jail time in a Swedish prison. I would love to hear an answer to this.
